about brittaney
Brittaney Latta, LMFT, is a Queer-Trauma Therapist and founder of Your Therapy Room, an online mental health care service, as well as Queer Rebels, a Mental Fitness Box.
Healing begins when you find your voice. I know this not only as a therapist but also from my journey of healing from trauma. I started my journey as an in-the-closet bisexual girl living surrounded by abuse, poverty, drugs, and failing grades. I proactively changed my story through lots of therapy and lots of mistakes learning as an adult. I’m a retired sex worker, addict, and party girl who was ready to live fast and die young. I just completed my 3rd year of sobriety and 2 years of owning an online Mental Health Therapy practice, and 9 years of being a therapist. I continue to show up for myself and my clients with compassion and resilience. I’ve created Bad-Ass Boundaries, a workshop I’ve shared at community events. I’ve run interactive self-esteem and mindfulness booths at SheFest and San Diego Magazine events. I specialize in helping LGBTQ+ adults heal from trauma, anxiety, and codependency. Whether you feel stuck in a toxic relationship, overwhelmed by life, or need someone real AF & gets it- I’m like your Queer Therapist, Big Sister. My mission is to help

LGBTQIA+
Support Circle Leader
As the leader of our LGBTQIA+ Support Circle, Brittaney holds space with authenticity, care, and a deep understanding of the unique intersections between queer identity and trauma. She creates a space where LGBTQIA+ survivors can show up fully, be witnessed in their truth, and find connection without having to explain or shrink who they are. Brittaney’s leadership helps foster a sense of belonging, affirmation, and collective healing for queer and trans members of the community.
