Kerri is a trauma-informed architect licensed in Texas with 25 years of experience working exclusively on educational facilities. She is passionate about creating learning environments that not only support all students in their social, emotional, and cognitive development but also provide the optimal environment for educators to thrive as well as family and community stakeholders feel a sense of belonging. She specializes in school safety and security, trauma-informed design, and the intersection of the two. She was appointed by Texas Governor Greg Abbott to serve as the first architect member of the Texas School Safety Center Board, holds a professional certificate in Trauma-informed Care, and is currently pursuing a Polyvagal-informed certificate. She is a survivor of complex trauma as a former golden child in a narcissistic family of origin, is navigating her personal healing journey alongside her CPTSD diagnosis, and is an intergenerational trauma cycle-breaker as a mom of two teens.

She facilitates monthly discussions that explore trauma-informed themes, personal growth, and survivor-centered stories—creating a thoughtful space for reflection, connection, and conversation. Through her guidance, the Book Club becomes more than just reading—it's a shared journey of healing, insight, and collective exploration.
